Along the northcoast of Spain runs a long and narrow mountain range, the Cordillera Cantábrica (or Cantabrian Mountains). Green, lush, mountainous and with a population of easy going, down to earth  people carrying a Celtic heritage, this area resembles Ireland or Scotland. I have written a book on walking, horse riding and mountainbiking in the Cantabrian Mountains, from which these pictures are taken (Bergtochten in de Cordillera Cantábria & de Picos de Europa, Dominicus Adventure).
